Our goal is to help you turn those great trips you have planned into reality. Of course safety is paramount, so we have put together the following Do’s and Don’ts to help you along the way:-

Do
  • Upload a photo of yourself. Everyone likes to see who they are chatting to and we have found that many members will not reply to profiles which do not include a photo.
  • Make sure you feel comfortable with the person you are contacting before providing any personal contact information.
  • Try and meet up in person with potential travel partners before travelling together so that you can thoroughly check them out.
  • Meet in a public place. It may be a good idea to take a friend along with you.
  • Follow your instincts. If something does not seem right or you do not feel comfortable, discontinue contact with that member.
  • Be aware of scammers. There are unfortunately some unscrupulous individuals on the web looking to part you with your hard earned money. Please report any suspect emails or scams to us and we will look into them right away. Most scams are easy to spot, watch out for the following:-
    • Anyone offering anything but to be a travel partner
    • Being overly friendly or familiar in initial emails
    • Sad stories aimed at trying to appeal to your charitable nature.
Do Not
  • Post any personal information in your profile. You have no control over who contacts you and it is strictly against our terms and conditions
  • Travel with anyone you have not met. If you do meet up with someone at your destination for the first time make sure it is in a public place, and have a backup travel plan.
  • Invite anyone to your home when meeting for the first time.
