The Trummelbach Falls
near Lauterbrunnen in Switzerland are a series of ten glacier-waterfalls inside
the mountain made accessible by tunnel-lift and are illuminated. They are the only
glacier-waterfalls in Europe still accessible inside the mountain. The source
of the falls are the glacial melt waters of the mighty Eiger, (3970m), Monk
(4099m) and Jungfrau 4158m). Walking
inside the mountain with the falls thundering past inches away from the path is
a surreal experience but one you will never forget.
